Arusha and Mbeya BC talk about their success after the Sabasaba, Nanenane and East Africa Grain Council, (EAGC).
In July and August the AAA Tanzania chapter participated in three exhibitions; the Sabasaba that was at Chapter level, the EAGC Agribusiness Expo and Nanenane which were at BCs level.
In September the Arusha and Mbeya BCs reflected on individual success stories, which resulted from the three expos.
Members expressed their gratitude to AAA for facilitation their participation in the expos. Their successes mentioned included; bringing awareness of their businesses and products to the public, as well as gaining knowledge on how to improve their products from their customers and competitors. They also gained the opportunity meeting different financial institutions, certification and standardization bodies and advisory institutions.
In all the BCs, members also expressed how these expos had increased their customers, market and income.
“My special thanks to AAA management for inviting me to exhibit my products in Sabasaba. I got a very good market. I am now supplying in Dar-es-Salaam and my income is increasing,” Frank Msigwa of Frank Horticultural Mbeya said. He also added that the demand is now bigger than what he could supply.
“The EAGC Agribusiness Expo, increased my market for maize seed. I now have a lot of farmers who call to request for the seeds. This is the best thing AAA has done.” Peter Mutisya of Multi Agro trading Main Suppliers Ltd enthusiastically stated.
Gosbert Baitwa also expressed his gratitude and said, “I joined AAA in April 2015. For this short time I have benefited a lot from the expos and from my fellow members. I have gained a lot of contacts, and made higher sales from the honey.”
